Ana Maria’s concert will take us on a journey from the famous Alhambra gardens in Spain to the Columns of Havana, Cuba with a touch of Italian Baroque and neo-classicism on the way. Originally from Bucharest, Ana Maria has established herself as one of the top Romanian virtuosos of her generation. She has been awarded numerous prizes in various international competitions, including the recent first prize in the Madrid International Guitar Competition, June 2020. She received her Bachelor Degree at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania and graduated Cum Laude from Master in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Alicante, Spain. Currently she is pursuing her Master’s Degree at the University of Arizona with Tom Patterson and artists in residence David Russell, Sergio and Odair Assad.
