Andrés Pantoja’s concert will present works by Bach, a beautiful cycle written by the Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco inspired in the Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez´s “Platero and I,” Latin American music and pieces from his last CD “Estampa.” Pantoja is a Chilean guitarist, winner of the David Russell Bach Prize in 2019, and he has performed in Europe, EEUU and 6 countries in South America, his musical curiosity has led him to play flamenco, charango, traditional Latin American music, and in addition to his classical recordings he has also recorded with a Nujazz ensemble. Currently he is pursuing a doctoral degree in music performance in the University of Arizona with professor Patterson and artists in residence David Russell, Sergio and Odair Assad.
