Dragos Ilie - #StayHome Concert

As the world takes refuge in these unprecedented times, The Online Music Guild helps musicians from around the world present their music. From Austin, Texas, we present an EXCLUSIVE concert performed by our colleague Dragos Ilie who has been regarded as one of the most creative and expressive young guitarists of his generation. His dedication for the art led him to receive numerous grants for competing at festivals and competitions across Europe. These include the MOL Foundation Scholarship for Young Artists and the “Young Talents" Grant offered by the Margareta Principess Foundation.

Dragos has placed in over 36 international competitions, with more than 20 first prizes. Some of these include the Iasi Guitar Festival, Indiana Guitar Festival, Texas A&M Guitar Festival, and Florida Guitar Festival. Dragos holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at the University of Austin Texas, serving as Teaching Assistant for the guitar studio led by Adam Holzman. The program explores the versatility of the guitar, with music from all around the world, and various periods.
